Congratulations to the U.S.A. Men’s National Team which overcame much of the speculation about being placed in the “Group of Death” in their opening match by beating Ghana 2-1.

If you missed the match, here are the highlights courtesy of ESPN.

The game was unusual in that USA Captain Clint Dempsey scored just 34 seconds in, the fastest goal in US World Cup history, and the 6th fastest ever. Then, leading striker Jozy Altidore pulled up with a strained hamstring halfway through the first half. Among other odd occurrences, John Brooks struck the go-ahead goal with just four minutes remaining in regulation.

And as a bonus, here’s a great ad that Beats by Dré released leading up to the start of the 2014 World Cup.

Again, congratulations to the Americans and here’s to a victory on Sunday vs. Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal!
